Refleksi REFLEKSI seni, menatang budaya. Itulah yang dapat saya rumuskan menerusi perbualan singkat bersama penerbit Refleksi, jurutari Mohd Fauzi Anwar. Kumpulan yang ditubuhkan pada 1950, Sriwana, adalah antara segelintir kumpulan seni yang dapat bertahan hingga kini. Separuh abad setelah jabatan tariannya ditubuhkan, Sriwana kini mula menjenguk ke belakang dan melihat apa yang ditinggalkan tapi tidak dilupakan. Sopenah Somad, Tengku Yohanet Husny dan Madam Ah Choon adalah nama-nama yang membuka langkah pertama Sriwana pada 1957. Go to "Refleksi" |

Anugerah Planet Musik Sriwana was invited to grace the opening item of Anugerah Planet Musik 2007 held at the Indoor Stadium on 8th June together with Altimet featuring Mawar Berduri. Rewang Nak Tari Organized by Majlis Pusat, Rewang Nak Tari was a collaboration of 8 major malay cultural arts group in Singapore held at Victoria Theatre on 8th of July 2007. Sriwana, together with Teater Tari Era, Sri Warisan, Artiste Seni Budaya Tepak Sireh, Perkumpulan Seni, Azpirasi, Atrika and Majlis Pusat's very own Kirana Seni presented their own unique dance items. Each group was required to present two items of two different dance styles - Traditional & Contemporary. |

Janur Berseni - Gabungan Drama dan Tari A successful production held on 17th March at Queenstown CC, which combined both the Drama and Dance section of Sriwana. A full-house auditorium was present to watch 65 children and adult dancers showcase various dances by our own in-house choreographers and a drama piece directed by Abdullah Ahmad.... Finally the curtains have fell on JDI as they failed to make it to the top 5 of the Dancefloor. Nash, Mizan, Aizat and Wan grooved their last dance at Final Top 6 round but blew the audience away with their choreography from the Shuffle Round performance. Truly remarkable! JDI will be remembered for their humuorous antics and creative choreography which truly entertained audiences islandwide. It's has been a great and memorable journey for them. However, this proves to be a stepping stone for them to improve on one thing they love doing, DANCE. The TOP 5 finals will be aired on Sunday, 29th April at 8pm on TCS5.
